Cape Henlopen State Park’s vibrant coastal ecosystem allows for excellent birdwatching throughout the year. Brown-headed Nuthatches call the forests home, while Piping Plovers prefer to nest along the beaches. A variety of waterfowl are found on the bay and ocean coastlines as well as by Gordons Pond.
